Teen Volunteers: The Heart of Our Circle

Volunteering with The Friendship Circle is all about making a real difference for children and teens with special needs. But it's also about having fun along the way.

Sometimes your reward will be a simple smile or hug. But you'll also get the chance to develop interpersonal skills, connect with the Jewish community and form lifetime friendships.

All it takes is the ability to be a caring friend and the willingness to experience the world from a new perspective.

Volunteer opportunities include ...

  • Friends at Home (about 2 hours per week)
  • Sunday Circle Respite Sessions (about 3 hours per week for four weeks)
  • Trips and Other Events (about 2 hours per event)
  • Family Shabbat Experience (about 2 hours per event)
  • Cooking Circle (about 2 hours per event)
  • Adult Volunteers (anywhere from 1-3 hours per event)

No matter how many hours you put in, you'll be making a huge impact!
And remember, we'll give you all the support you need to succeed, including sensitivity workshops that help you qualify for our Fellowship Award Reward System.
